Language Focus

We can use the first conditional to talk about actions or results in possible situations in the future.

We can use other modal verbs, such as can, might, and may, instead of will.

If you finish early, you can go home.
If I have the time, I might come to the party.

In questions, we can put the will part of the sentence first and the if part second. When the will part comes first, we don’t use a comma.

Complete the sentences with the verbs from the list in the correct form. Use each word only once.

be - be - buy - fail - feel - go - not study - play - rain - stay
